Homematas is a well established and highly respected home style showroom based here in the North West. We were chuffed to bits to be commissioned by them to produce this short promotional video which is intended to take pride of place on the homepage of their established website.

Why was video so important?

Despite being a successful business already, Homematas have always found it difficult to effectively market the sheer scale of their impressive showroom. From the outside, Homematas looks like a small shop front, and you’d be forgiven for driving by without taking a second look. Inside however, it’s absolutely enormous – and so we were asked to put together a short video aimed at getting this message out there.

How did Oh! Video approach the project?

The first thing we did was to have a chat with our new client about their goals. A question we always like to ask is: “in a perfect world, what will this video do for your business?”. By understanding what our client hopes to gain from having a professional video produced, we can position everything in line with these ambitions.

Once we understood the brief, we arranged a suitable time and date to visit the client. We sketched together a basic storyboard so that we could easily visualise the format of the shoot. On the day, we interviewed Brendan about his business, making sure that we talked about all the important factors that we’d already discussed during the brief.

We took a ton of video footage of the showroom, the products and the warehouse to help give a sense of the scale of their operations.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing the video on the Homematas website. We have absolutely no doubt that the video will improve their conversions, build trust and add value to their marketing efforts.
